Critical Measurements Sample Clauses

Critical Measurements. The critical measurement associated with this project is the measurement of the levels of LA in tree bark as surficial loading structures per centimeter squared (s/cm2) and duff as concentration structures per gram (s/g) from locations within two miles of the NPL boundary and east of Kootenai Falls. The analysis of LA may be achieved using several different types of microscope, but the EPA generally recommends using TEM because this technique has the ability to clearly distinguish asbestos from non-asbestos structures, and to classify different types of asbestos (i.e., LA, chrysotile). In addition, analysis by TEM provides structure-specific dimensions that allow for the estimation of PCM-equivalent2 (PCME) concentrations, which is the concentration metric necessary to estimate exposure and risks. Thus, all analyses for this study will be performed by TEM.

Critical Measurements. The critical measurement associated with this project is the measurement of the concentration of LA in tissue samples from fish, deer, and elk collected from OU3. The analysis of LA may be achieved using several different types of microscope, but the EPA generally recommends using TEM because this technique has the ability to clearly distinguish asbestos from non-asbestos structures, and to classify different types of asbestos (i.e., LA, chrysotile). In addition, the results of the TEM analysis include information on the dimensions and attributes of each asbestos structure observed. This is important for the purposes of comparison to ingestion toxicity values because these values are based on structures longer than 10 micrometers (µm) in length. In addition, data are needed on the moisture content of the tissues prior to TEM analysis. This will allow for concentrations to be translated from a dry weight basis (the analysis output units) to wet weight basis (the units necessary for evaluating human ingestion exposures).

Related to Critical Measurements

  • Usage Measurement Usage measurement for calls shall begin when answer supervision or equivalent Signaling System 7 (SS7) message is received from the terminating office and shall end at the time of call disconnect by the calling or called subscriber, whichever occurs first.

  • Benchmarks for Measuring Accessibility For the purposes of this Agreement, the accessibility of online content and functionality will be measured according to the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA and the Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite (WAI-ARIA) 1.0 for web content, which are incorporated by reference.

  • Measurements Units set out in SI (metric) are the governing units for the purposes of this Contract. Units set out in Imperial measurement in parentheses beside their SI (metric) equivalent are for reference only and in the event of a conflict between SI (metric) and Imperial measurement herein, SI (metric) shall prevail.

  • Temperature Measurement Temperature will be measured by the nearest automatic Melbourne Bureau of Meteorology Monitoring Station for example (but not limited to): Melbourne, Moorabbin, Dunns Hill, Melbourne Airport, Frankston, and Point Xxxxxx. At the commencement of each project, the onsite management and employee representatives shall agree which is to be the applicable automatic weather monitoring station.

  • Performance Measurement The Uniform Guidance requires completion of OMB-approved standard information collection forms (the PPR). The form focuses on outcomes, as related to the Federal Award Performance Goals that awarding Federal agencies are required to detail in the Awards.

  • Mileage Measurement Where required, the mileage measurement for LIS rate elements is determined in the same manner as the mileage measurement for V&H methodology as outlined in NECA Tariff No. 4.

  • Corrective Measures If the Participating Generator fails to meet or maintain the requirements set forth in this Agreement and/or the CAISO Tariff, the CAISO shall be permitted to take any of the measures, contained or referenced in the CAISO Tariff, which the CAISO deems to be necessary to correct the situation.

  • Measurement Should the State terminate this contract as herein provided, no fees other than fees due and payable at the time of termination shall thereafter be paid to the Engineer. In determining the value of the work performed by the Engineer prior to termination, the State shall be the sole judge. Compensation for work at termination will be based on a percentage of the work completed at that time. Should the State terminate this contract under paragraph (4) or (5) above, the Engineer shall not incur costs during the thirty-day notice period in excess of the amount incurred during the preceding thirty days.

  • Measuring EPP parameters Every 5 minutes, EPP probes will select one “IP address” of the EPP servers of the TLD being monitored and make an “EPP test”; every time they should alternate between the 3 different types of commands and between the commands inside each category. If an “EPP test” result is undefined/unanswered, the EPP service will be considered as unavailable from that probe until it is time to make a new test.

  • Performance Measures The System Agency will monitor the Grantee’s performance of the requirements in Attachment A and compliance with the Contract’s terms and conditions.
