Common use of Current Employees Clause in Contracts

Current Employees. Employees who were members of the Union on or after the date of certification of this bargaining unit (January 27, 1995) shall continue as members of the Union. Employees who were members of the bargaining unit on January 27, 1995, but who were not members of the Union on that date shall not be required to join the Union, but shall be required to pay any dues, fees or assessments to the Union;
