Common use of Daily and Weekly Hours Clause in Contracts

Daily and Weekly Hours. Effective 2004 June 17, the standard daily and weekly hours for Auxiliary or Temporary Full- Time Employees shall, for purposes other than overtime (eg.: increments, determining employee status, etc.), be deemed to be those found in Schedule “A” of the Collective Agreement. Overtime shall be in accordance with B. 8.1 (1) or (2) as applicable. Where an employee works a shift that is longer than five (5) consecutive hours, the Employer shall schedule an unpaid eating period during the shift so as to prevent the employee from working more than five (5) consecutive hours without an unpaid eating period. This is not applicable where there is an agreement between the Employer and the Union for an employee(s) to work through their eating period.
