Ordinary Hours. 15.1.1 The ordinary hours of work shall be an average of 38 per week to be worked on one of the following bases: a) 38 hours within a work cycle not exceeding 7 consecutive days; or b) 76 hours within a work cycle not exceeding 14 consecutive days; or c) 114 hours within a work cycle not exceeding 21 consecutive days; or d) 152 hours within a work cycle not exceeding 28 consecutive days.
Ordinary Hours. 16.1.1 On a day on which an employee is required to work their ordinary hours, start time will be from the time the request to respond is received by the employee and finish time will be on return to the normal workplace plus half an hour.

Ordinary Hours a) The ordinary hours of work are an average of 36 hours per week to be worked between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday on a nine-day fortnight basis. b) Normal start and finish times as they stand at the commencement date of this agreement will be documented in writing and verified as correct by all employees. c) The starting time may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority and/or affected employees concerned to accommodate the hours of work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer. Ordinary Hours. 3.1.1 The Ordinary Hours of employment shall be 40 ordinary hours per week averaged across the Roster Cycle, worked on a rotating 24/7 continuous shift roster Sunday to Saturday, consisting of four (4) ten-hour shifts and/or five (5) eight-hour shifts averaged across the Roster Cycle. 3.1.2 The Employer shall arrange ordinary shifts to not exceed 10 hours, except to meet operational requirements and in cases of emergency when relief cannot be provided. The maximum spread of Ordinary Hours shall be 12 hours. 3.1.3 The Ordinary Hours for Employees will be as shown on the Employees’ roster. 3.1.4 Rosters shall provide for a minimum of eight (8) days off duty in every 28 days, on average, or a varying number of days consistent with that proportion depending on the length of the Roster Cycle. 3.1.5 Any change to the shift lengths or rostering arrangements under this sub-clause would be by agreement between the parties to this Agreement. 3.1.6 Employees shall not be rostered for more than nine (9) consecutive shifts per fortnightly Roster Cycle. 3.1.7 Saturday and Sunday payments when working Ordinary Hours. a) Ordinary Hours worked on a Saturday shall be paid at the rate of time and a half. b) Ordinary Hours worked on a Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double time. c) No other shift penalties shall apply.

Ordinary Hours. 13.1.1 The ordinary hours of work shall be an average of 35 per week to be worked on one of the following basis: a) 35 hours within a work cycle not exceeding 7 consecutive days; or b) 70 hours within a work cycle not exceeding 14 consecutive days. 13.1.2 The ordinary hours of work prescribed herein may be worked on any day or all of the days of the week, Monday to Friday between (at the discretion of the Company) 6.00am and 6.00pm.Provided the following applies: 13.1.2.1 Starting Time: 7.30am; Finishing Time: 3.47pm 13.1.2.2 On shutdowns or major project work, by arrangement with the employee’s concerned the starting and finishing times can vary by up to one (1) hour either side of the times prescribed at 13.1.2.1 above. 13.1.3 The introduction of a 35 hour week was introduced in accordance with the provisions of the AIRC Full Bench: Standard Hours (Oil Companies) Award 1974 (print AW796032) and the standards set in that decision will apply under this Agreement where any inconsistency exists.

The ordinary hours of work for employees engaged in the following functions shall be 35 hours per week: • Administration; • Building Surveying; • Community Services (Professional/Specialist Band 3); • Engineering (Professional and Trainees); • Executive Band; • Finance; • Health Surveying; • Library; • Public Relations; • Technical Services; and • Town Planning. The ordinary hours for employees working 35 hours per week shall be arranged on one of the following basis: • 35 hours within one week provided that at least two days off shall be granted; or • 70 hours within two weeks provided that at least four days off shall be granted; or • 105 hours within three weeks provided that at least six days off shall be granted; or • 140 hours within four weeks provided that at least eight days off shall be granted. iii. Except as otherwise provided, the ordinary hours for all employees shall be between Monday and Sunday. iv. The ordinary hours for employees engaged in the following functions shall be between Monday and Friday: (a) Building Surveyors • Crematoriums and Cemeteries • Engineering (Professional and Trainees) • Finance • Health Surveyors • Road Construction and Maintenance • Sale Yards • Stores and Depots • Town Planning; and • Trade functions (b) The ordinary hours for employees engaged in general administration shall be between Monday and Friday except where such administrative duties are associated with work in functions where a different spread of hours is applicable. v. An employee’s commencement and/or finishing times may be altered by agreement or by Council with the provision of reasonable notice where there are genuine operational or safety reasons supporting the variation. (a) For the purpose of this subclause, reasonable notice shall be determined having regard to: i. the employee’s personal circumstances including any family and carer responsibilities; and ii. the needs of the workplace, including any genuine operational or safety reasons.
