Damage to JPMorgan Chase's reputation could damage its businesses Maintaining trust in JPMorgan Chase is critical to JPMorgan Chase's ability to attract and maintain customers, investors and employees. Damage to JPMorgan Chase's reputation can therefore cause significant harm to JPMorgan Chase's business and prospects. Harm to JPMorgan Chase's reputation can arise from numerous sources, including, among others, employee misconduct, compliance failures, litigation or regulatory outcomes or governmental investigations. In addition, a failure to deliver appropriate standards of service and quality, or a failure or perceived failure to treat customers and clients fairly, can result in customer dissatisfaction, litigation and heightened regulatory scrutiny, all of which can lead to lost revenue, higher operating costs and harm JPMorgan Chase's reputation. Adverse publicity regarding JPMorgan Chase, whether or not true, may result in harm to JPMorgan Chase's prospects. Actions by the financial services industry generally or by certain members of or individuals in the industry can also affect JPMorgan Chase's reputation. For example, the role played by financial services firms in the financial crisis, including concerns that consumers have been treated unfairly by financial institutions, has damaged the reputation of the industry as a whole. Should any of these or other events or factors that can undermine JPMorgan Chase's reputation occur, there is no assurance that the additional costs and expenses that JPMorgan Chase may need to incur to address the issues giving rise to the reputational harm could not adversely affect JPMorgan Chase's earnings and results of operations. Management of potential conflicts of interests has become increasingly complex as JPMorgan Chase continues to expand its business activities through more numerous transactions, obligations and interests with and among JPMorgan Chase's clients. The failure to adequately address, or the perceived failure to adequately address, conflicts of interest could affect the willingness of clients to deal with JPMorgan Chase, or give rise to litigation or enforcement actions, as well as cause serious reputational harm to JPMorgan Chase.

  • Damage to personal clothing An employee shall be reasonably compensated for damage to personal clothing worn on duty, or reimbursed dry cleaning charges for excessive soiling to personal clothing worn on duty, provided the damage or soiling did not occur as a result of the employee’s negligence, or failure to wear the protective clothing provided. Each case shall be determined on its merits by the employer.

  • DAMAGE TO COUNTY FACILITIES, BUILDINGS OR GROUNDS 8.16.1 The Contractor shall repair, or cause to be repaired, at its own cost, any and all damage to County facilities, buildings, or grounds caused by the Contractor or employees or agents of the Contractor. Such repairs shall be made immediately after the Contractor has become aware of such damage, but in no event later than thirty (30) days after the occurrence.

  • Reporting of Abuse, Neglect, or Exploitation Consistent with provisions of 33 V.S.A. §4913(a) and §6903, any agent or employee of a Contractor who, in the performance of services connected with this agreement, has contact with clients or is a caregiver and who has reasonable cause to believe that a child or vulnerable adult has been abused or neglected as defined in Chapter 49 or abused, neglected, or exploited as defined in Chapter 69 of Title 33 V.S.A. shall make a report involving children to the Commissioner of the Department for Children and Families within 24 hours or a report involving vulnerable adults to the Division of Licensing and Protection at the Department of Disabilities, Aging, and Independent Living within 48 hours. This requirement applies except in those instances where particular roles and functions are exempt from reporting under state and federal law. Reports involving children shall contain the information required by 33 V.S.A. §4914. Reports involving vulnerable adults shall contain the information required by 33 V.S.A. §6904. The Contractor will ensure that its agents or employees receive training on the reporting of abuse or neglect to children and abuse, neglect or exploitation of vulnerable adults.

  • DAMAGE TO FACILITIES The Student will promptly report damages and request necessary repairs, in accordance with established and published procedures. The Student is responsible for damages caused by the Student. Damages to shared or common areas not attributable to a responsible person are the joint responsibility of all persons sharing the space or area. UCF DHRL reserves the right to charge the Student for damages caused by the Student. Charges may include, but are not limited to, extraordinary pest control charges, repair of walls, furniture or fixtures, and damages to common areas. UCF DHRL also reserves the right to charge the Student for a portion of damages caused to spaces shared by the Student when the person responsible for damages to shared spaces cannot be identified.

  • Damage to Personal Property The Employer will provide reimbursement for reasonable repair or replacement of damages incurred to the employee's eyeglasses, contact lenses or other prosthesis, ripped uniforms, or personal clothing, as a result of being assaulted while performing his/her work. The employee must report the incident by the end of their shift. The employee will present her or his receipt to the Employer within seven (7) days after the event, unless it was impossible for her or him to do so during this period. The Employer will reimburse up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) per incident except for eyeglasses, which shall have a maximum reimbursement of three hundred dollars ($300).

  • Liability for Acts or Omissions of Third Parties Neither BellSouth nor Mpower shall be liable for any act or omission of another telecommunications company providing a portion of the services provided under this Agreement.

  • Injury or Damage to Person or Property If either party suffers injury or damage to person or property because of an act or omission of the other party, or of others for whose acts such party is legally responsible, written notice of such injury or damage, whether or not insured, shall be given to the other party within a reasonable time not exceeding twenty-one (21) calendar days after discovery. The notice shall provide sufficient detail to enable the other party to investigate the matter.

  • Damage to Property Exhibitor is liable for any damage caused to building floors, walls or columns, or to standard booth equipment, or to other Exhibitor’s property. Exhibitor may not apply paint, lacquer, adhesives, or other coating to building columns and floors or to standard booth equipment.

  • Limitation on Judicial Council 's Liability The Judicial Council will not be responsible for loss or damage to any non-Judicial Council equipment or property arising from causes beyond the Judicial Council's control. In any event, the Judicial Council's responsibility for repairs and liability for damages or loss shall be limited to that made necessary by or resulting from the negligent acts or omissions of the Judicial Council or its officers, employees, or agents. The Judicial Council will not be liable for any charges incurred in connection with this Program, or any Judicial Council activities, unless expressly provided for under this Agreement.

  • RESPONDENT LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO GOVERNMENT PROPERTY The Respondent shall be liable for all damages to government-owned, leased, or occupied property and equipment caused by the Respondent and its employees, agents, subcontractors, and suppliers, including any delivery or cartage company, in connection with any performance pursuant to the Contract. The Respondent shall notify the City of Xxxxxx Procurement Manager in writing of any such damage within one (1) calendar day.
