Damaged Uniform Parts or Equipment. Members shall be allowed to turn in clothing and uniform parts or equipment which are damaged in the line of duty and these items will be replaced by the City with equal quality/style/design replacements at no cost to members, except where the damage was caused by the officer's negligence. This section shall not apply to cruisers, bikes or motorcycles. This Section shall apply to the officer's special personal equipment, the use of which is authorized in writing by the Deputy Chief or the Chief of Police.
