Date of Observance. (a) Should the provincial or Federal Government(s) proclaim a day in lieu of any of the holidays listed in 16.01(a), the day proclaimed shall become the holiday for the purpose of interpreting this Article. (b) When a paid holiday falls on a Saturday and/or a Sunday, and another day is not proclaimed in lieu thereof in accordance with paragraph (a), a day off in lieu thereof will be given on a working day immediately preceding or immediately following the paid holiday, to be chosen by the Corporation.
