Common use of Declaration of Purpose Clause in Contracts

Declaration of Purpose. It is the purpose of this procedure to secure at the lowest possible administrative level, equitable solutions to alleged grievances of teachers through procedures under which they may present grievances free from coercion, interference, restraint, discrimination, or reprisal. Further, this procedure is endorsed by both parties as a mechanism by which the Board of Education (hereinafter sometime referred to as "the Board") and its teachers are afforded adequate opportunity to dispose of their differences without the necessity of time consuming and costly proceedings before administrative agencies and/or in the courts.
