Deduction of Association Membership Dues. 12 1. Within ten (10) days of the commencement of employment, any employee who is 13 a member of the Association, or who has applied for membership, shall sign and 14 deliver a dues deduction authorization form to the District. Such membership 15 authorization shall continue in effect from year to year. 16 2. The District shall submit a copy of each signed authorization form to the 17 Association for processing. 18 3. The deduction authorized above shall be made in twelve (12) equal amounts from 19 each paycheck beginning the pay period in September through the pay period in 20 August of each year. Employees who commence employment after September or 21 terminate employment before June shall have their deductions prorated based on 22 their daily FTE. The Board agrees promptly to remit directly to the Washington 23 Education Association all monies so deducted, accompanied by a list of 24 employees from whom the deductions have been made. A duplicate list shall be 25 promptly provided to the Association and will reflect any changes in said list due 26 to employees entering or leaving the employ of the District.
