Definition of Employee 2.01 The term "employee" as used in and for the purpose of this Agreement shall include those employees of the Company at and from the Company's present or relocated premises for which the Union is certified, except those employees excluded by the Labour Relations Code of British Columbia.
Definition of Total Disability Total disability means that the employee is unable, because of sickness or accident, to perform the duties of their regular occupation. This definition applies for the first twenty-four (24) months of payments. After this time, the inability to perform an occupation for which the employee is reasonably fitted by training, education or experience will constitute total disability. It is not required that an employee be confined to home, but they must be under the regular care of a physician.
Definition of Employees a) A Full-Time Employee is a person employed by the Day Care who regularly works the full time hours as specified in Article 17.
Definition of a Grievance A grievance will be defined as any difference or dispute arising between the parties to this Agreement concerning the interpretation, application, administration, operation, or alleged violation of this Agreement.
DEFINITION OF EMPLOYEE STATUS 8.01 The status of all employees covered by this agreement shall be defined under one of the following three definitions.
Definition of Grievance A grievance shall be defined as any difference arising out of the interpretation, application, administration, or alleged violation of the Collective Agreement.
Letter of Understanding Professional Responsibility For the life of this Collective Agreement, the parties agree as follows: The parties acknowledge and agree that professional responsibility concerns are most appropriately resolved expeditiously between them in the workplace. The parties commit to exhausting all reasonable efforts, which may include third party mediation, before an IAC hearing is conducted. The parties agree that resident care is enhanced if concerns relating to professional practice and workload are resolved in a timely and effective manner. The parties acknowledge that in most cases they will be able to find a resolution to these concerns. In exceptional circumstances, where concerns are not resolved, either party may proceed to an IAC hearing as they are entitled to under Article 19.01 of the Collective Agreement. Where the local parties enter into these agreements, the agreement may include one or more of the following principles:
Employment of Consultants Part A General Consultants’ services shall be procured in accordance with the provisions of the Introduction and Section IV of the "Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers" published by the Bank in January 1997 and revised in September 1997 (the Consultant Guidelines) and the following provisions of Section II of this Schedule. Part B: Quality- and Cost-based Selection Except as otherwise provided in Part C of this Section, consultants’ services shall be procured under contracts awarded in accordance with the provisions of Section II of the Consultant Guidelines, paragraph 3 of Appendix 1 thereto, Appendix 2 thereto, and the provisions of paragraphs 3.13 through 3.18 thereof applicable to quality- and cost-based selection of consultants. Part C: Other Procedures for the Selection of Consultants 1. Selection Based on Consultants Qualifications Services estimated to cost less than $100,000 equivalent per contract may be procured under contracts awarded in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 3.1 and 3.7 of the Consultant Guidelines.
Definition of Affiliate The term “Affiliate” shall mean an entity that is directly or indirectly owned, operated, or controlled by another entity.
Definition of Disability For purposes of this Agreement, “Disability” (and any of its forms) means that, for more than six consecutive months, the Executive is unable, with reasonable accommodation, to perform the duties described in Section 4.01 on a full-time basis due to a physical or mental disability or infirmity.
