Definition of Transfer. For purposes of section 7704(b) and this section, a transfer of an interest in a partnership means a transfer in any form, includ- ing a redemption by the partnership or the entering into of a financial instru- ment or contract described in para- graph (a)(2)(i)(B) of this section.
