DEMAND RESPONSE ONLY. Exercise due diligence in actively verifying the identity of every Consumer transported prior to the Consumer boarding the vehicle or embarking on the trip. Identity should be verified by asking the Consumer to state their name, or in the case of Consumers traveling with escorts, children, or parents, asking that the name of the Consumer for whom the trip is scheduled be given. If the name given is not the name of the Consumer for whom the trip is scheduled, transportation should not be provided.
DEMAND RESPONSE ONLY. Exercise due diligence in actively seeking ride share opportunities among the transportation consumers served. Ride share may not add more than 45 minutes of additional travel time for any consumer as compared to direct routing of a consumer’s transportation.
DEMAND RESPONSE ONLY. Consumers under 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or escort. Children under age 13 may not travel unaccompanied, unless explicitly authorized by HST. They must travel with another person who is at least 18 years of age or older.
a. A minor who is 13 years of age or older, who is a parent to children of any age, may travel independently with their children without restriction.
