Dementia Care Units. Dementia Care Units are located at two facilities within the Finger Lakes Health’s Long Term Care Division. All staff members are specially trained in dementia care, and this, combined with experience, offers our residents a unique and gentle approach to caregiving. Both units strive to create an environment of care that allows residents to maximize freedom for as long as possible. The unit programming provides a variety of useful and purposeful activities that focus on life skills, as well as recreational and spiritual needs.
