Common use of DEMOTION INTO UNIT FROM OUTSIDE Clause in Contracts

DEMOTION INTO UNIT FROM OUTSIDE. (a) When by reason of lack of work at the employee's headquarters the Company demotes into a classification in the collective bargaining unit a supervisory or other employee who was not at the time of demotion a member of such unit such employee shall thereupon be entitled to exercise the rights set forth in this Title. (Amended 1-1-91) (b) In no case shall such demoted employee be placed into a classification that is higher than the classification held prior to leaving the bargaining unit subject to Subsection 206.1(f). (Added 1-1-88) (c) Company shall not demote into the collective bargaining unit a supervisor or other employee who was hired or left the bargaining unit on January 1, 1991 or thereafter. (Added 1-1-91)
