Denial of Leave Request – Staffing Needs. When it is necessary for the Employer to deny an employee’s vacation leave request because of the number of employee’s requesting leave within the individual departments or schools, the Employer shall give priority to employees in the order of their most recent date of permanent certification to any position by the Board of Education; the employee with the earliest date shall have first choice, the employee having the next earliest date shall have second choice, and so on, until all employees have chosen.
