Department Manager Relief Pay. (i) Any employee relieving a Department Manager shall receive a premium of sixty dollars ($60.00) a week or twelve dollars ($12.00) a day after they have completed in one (1) working day in that position in a seven (7) calendar day week. (ii) Upon the completion of more than one (1) working day in the relieving classification, the above will be retroactive to the commencement of the relieving period. (iii) Such premium shall be applicable to Assistant Department Managers who relief a department manager for a temporary leave of absence which is expected to more than four (4) consecutive weeks. For clarity, such premium is only applicable the first (1st) shift following the four (4) consecutive weeks. (b) No part-time employee will be assigned to relieve in the positions aforesaid if a full-time employee who has sufficient ability and qualifications to do the relief work is available.
