Assistant Department Managers. An employee who is selected by the Employer to fill the role of an Assistant Department Manager shall receive the Assistant Department Manager premium as per Article 19.03 (f) for all hours worked. For the purposes of any Statutory Holiday Pay, Vacation Pay, Sick Pay or Weekly Indemnity Benefit Payments to which such an employee may be entitled in a week during which they are scheduled to work as an Assistant Department Manager, their hourly rate shall be deemed to include the premium aforesaid. In their functions, an Assistant Department Manager is required to supervise the personnel in their department and also assign the workload to those employees. The Assistant Department Manager is also required to support the department manager with the administrative duties and must be available to replace the manager during their absences.
