Designation of Days. (a) All Employees who work on New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, British Columbia Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, will be paid rate and one-half for all hours so worked. (b) In the event that one of the above Statutory Holidays falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as the Statutory Holiday. (c) In the event of a Statutory Holiday falling on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and where the Company and Shop Committee mutually agree, the said holiday may be observed the preceding Monday or following Friday respectively. (d) In the event that one of the within-named Statutory Holidays falls on Saturday, it shall be observed on the preceding Friday or following Monday as agreed between the Company and the Shop Committee. (e) Notwithstanding (b), (c) and (d) above, for those Employees who work a Tuesday to Saturday work week as outlined in Article VII, Section 4, the following will apply: (i) where a Statutory Holiday is observed on Friday by other Employees, it shall be observed on Saturday. (ii) where a Statutory Holiday falls on Saturday it will be observed on Saturday. (iii) where a Statutory Holiday falls on their rest day (Sunday or Monday), the Employee or Employees shall observe the preceding Saturday or the following Tuesday as the Statutory Holiday as mutually agreed between the Company and the Shop Committee. (f) Notwithstanding the above, in logging, a Statutory Holiday may be observed on another mutually agreed upon day in a week other than the week in which it occurs. An Employee who qualifies for such Statutory Holiday on the day it occurs, and works on that day, will be paid for the Statutory Holiday at straight-time rates.

(e) If the Employer elects to keep the plant operating on a Paid Holiday Employees will be asked to work the necessary overtime as per the provisions set out in Section 11.11.
f) Notwithstanding (b), (c) and (d) above, for those Employees who work a Tuesday to Saturday work work-week as outlined in Article VII, Section 411.03, the following will apply:
(i1) where a Statutory Paid Holiday is observed on Friday by other Employees, it shall be observed on Saturday.
(ii2) where a Statutory Paid Holiday falls on Saturday it will be observed on Saturday.
(iii3) where a Statutory Paid Holiday falls on their rest day (Sunday or Monday), the Employee or Employees shall observe the preceding Saturday or the following Tuesday as the Statutory Paid Holiday as mutually agreed between the Employer and the Committee.
g) Notwithstanding (b), (c) and (d) above, for those Employees who are scheduled on a continuous work schedule will be required to work a Paid Holiday.
h) Seniority employees may request a day off in lieu of the holiday. The employee must submit the appropriate form to the supervisor at least 2 weeks prior to the holiday, requesting a specific day off or requesting to bank the lieu day. The day-off must be approved by the Human Resource Manager or designate. An employee requesting a banked lieu day must complete the appropriate form, giving minimum 2 weeks notice, to the Company and the Shop Committee.
(f) Notwithstanding day selected must be approved by the aboveHuman Resource Manager or designate. When approved, in logging, a Statutory Holiday may be observed on another mutually agreed upon day in a week other than the week in which it occurs. An Employee who qualifies for such Statutory Holiday on the day it occurs, and works on that day, employee will be paid for the Statutory Holiday at straight-holiday the payroll following the lieu day requested being taken. All banked lieu days must be taken before the first payroll in December or the time ratesoff will be lost. All lieu days remaining in the bank will automatically be paid out on the 1st payroll in December each year.
