STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND FLOATING HOLIDAY. 6.01 The Employer recognizes the following as holidays: 6.02 a) If a holiday occurs on a non-working day, a regular full- time employee shall be entitled to a paid day off (Lieu Day) on a regular day of work scheduled within the master rotation. Whenever possible, lieu days shall be taken within ninety 90) calendar days of being accrued at the employee’s request. Alternatively, the employee may opt to take an extra day’s pay in the pay period in which the holiday falls. Such days shall be mutually agreed to by both employee and management.

Notwithstanding above, the employee must have worked one (1) day before and one (1) day after the holiday, both of which must fall within a period of ninety (90) calendar days. In case of injury or illness in above the employer shall have the right to request a medical certificate. Employees while on leave of absence under Article Section (a) or any employees while members of a Negotiating Committee under Section thereof shall not qualify for paid Statutory Holidays.
