Determination of Reduction. Subsection 1. The administrative staff will ascertain the educational program for the district to meet the educational goals established by the Board. The number of teachers needed to implement the district’s educational program will then be recommended by the administrative staff. Subsection 2. When, in the judgment of the Board of Education, a decline in enrollment, a financial exigency, or a modification of program requires fewer certificated employees, a staff reduction may be accomplished through non-renewal of contract.
