Development of Initial Synchro™ Models Sample Clauses

Development of Initial Synchro™ Models. Using the information gathered in previous tasks, the Engineer will prepare, for each project corridor, base conditions SynchroTM models for the three standard timing plan periods (e.g. weekday AM peak, weekday midday peak, and weekday PM peak). These models will initially be used for the capacity analyses (see Subtask 3.2.5). All links and nodes in the Synchro™ model will be accurately referenced to NCTCOG’s standard coordinate system, which is referred to as North American NAD83 (U.S. State Plane Zone 4202 / Feet) for the North Central Texas area. All Synchro™ files provided to the Client in the Synchro™ version desired by the Client.

Development of Initial Synchro™ Models. Using the information accumulated from prior tasks, the Consultant will prepare a base condition SynchroTM model for each project corridor and selected timing plan periods (e.g. weekday AM peak, weekday midday peak, and weekday PM peak). These models will initially be used for the capacity analyses (see Subtask 3.2.5). The network links and nodes will be validated from information obtained during field visits, reviewing as-built, GIS shape files, and Google map. All links and nodes in the model will be accurately referenced to NCTCOG’s standard coordinate system (North American NAD83 - U.S. State Plane Zone 4202/ Feet) for the North Central Texas area. Information accumulated from site visits including travel time, along with traffic and signal operation data will be coded into the verified network to assess existing intersection and corridor capacity/ LOS. The resulting information will be compared to MOE data generated through the floating car run travel time exercise. A trial and error iteration process that compares adjusting model parameters against field generated real life data will be used to develop a model that reasonably replicates real field condition. The resulting calibrated model becomes the platform basis for performing “what if” scenarios that will ultimately result in improved timing the CK Group, Inc./ City of Arlington TX Signal Retiming Project system for the signals in our study area. Signal timing files will be provided in Synchro™ version desired by the City. All Synchro™ files provided to the Client in the Synchro™ version desired by the Client.
