Common use of Direct Network Interconnection Clause in Contracts

Direct Network Interconnection. SPRINT may interconnect with VERIZON on its network at any of the minimum points required by the FCC that are Currently Available in VERIZON’s existing network. Interconnection at additional points will be reviewed on an individual case basis. Where the Parties mutually agree to directly interconnect their respective networks, interconnection will be as specified in the following subsections. Unless otherwise agreed by the Parties, the interconnection installation time line where no construction is required shall be twenty-five (25) Business Days after the date on which Sprint delivered notice via an ASR to VERIZON. Where construction is required, the interconnection installation time line shall be as mutually agreed by the Parties, with due consideration given to delays that are not within VERIZON’s control. Internetwork connection and protocol must be based on industry standards developed consistent with Section 256 of the Act.
