Directional Antennas Sample Clauses

Directional Antennas. Directional antennas may be used by stations operating on a limited allotment to render protection to technically related stations. The radiation from a directional antenna may not exceed the notified radiation pattern value in any direction where the interference caused thereby would exceed that permitted for the limited allocation. In all other directions, the radiation may not exceed the notified pattern value by more than 2 db. In no case may the ratio of maximum to minimum fields of a directional antenna be greater than 20 db. Directional antennas may be used by stations operating on standard allotments, but their use shall not prevent future increases of radiation in the suppressed directions to 325 kilowatts.

Directional Antennas. Directional antennas operated by stations occupying limited allotments may be used to render protection to other co-channel and adjacent channel stations. In the direction of limitation, a station using a directional antenna must not exceed the notified pattern values. In all other directions, the radiation may not exceed the notified pattern value by more than 2 dB. Moreover, the ratio of maximum to minimum fields of a directional antenna shall not be greater than 20 dB, except where terrain may present a problem due to signal reflections. Directional antennas may also be used by stations operating on unlimited allotments, but their use shall not prevent future increases to maximum allowable parameters.
Directional Antennas. Directional antennas are those which are designed or altered to produce a non-circular radiation pattern in the horizontal plane.
Directional Antennas. Directional antennas may be used by stations on limited allotments to render protection to other stations or by stations on unlimited allotments to provide better service. The radiation from a directional antenna must not exceed the notified radiation pattern value in any direction where protection is being provided. In all other directions, the radiation may not exceed the notified pattern value by more than 2 dB. Moreover, the ratio of maximum to minimum fields of a directional antenna shall not be greater than 20 dB except where terrain will present a reception problem due to signal reflections. Where beam tilt is used, the effective radiated power shall be that calculated using the maximum radiation from the antenna in the plane of maximum radiation. Use of a directional antenna on an unlimited allotment shall not change the location of the protected contour (as defined in Section 3.1.1), which remains based on operation with an omnidirectional antenna.
Directional Antennas. The procedures for calculating theoretical, expanded and augmented (modified expanded) directional antenna patterns are given in Attachment A of Appendix 1.

  • Interface A defined set of transmission facilities that separate Load Zones and that separate the NYCA from adjacent Control Areas. Investor-Owned Transmission Owners. A Transmission Owner that is owned by private investors. At the present time these include: Central Xxxxxx Gas & Electric Corporation, Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc., New York State Electric & Gas Corporation, Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc., and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation.

  • Interoperability To the extent required by applicable law, Cisco shall provide You with the interface information needed to achieve interoperability between the Software and another independently created program. Cisco will provide this interface information at Your written request after you pay Cisco’s licensing fees (if any). You will keep this information in strict confidence and strictly follow any applicable terms and conditions upon which Cisco makes such information available.

  • Connectivity User is solely responsible for providing and maintaining all necessary electronic communications with Exchange, including, wiring, computer hardware, software, communication line access, and networking devices.

  • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Capability The wind plant shall provide SCADA capability to transmit data and receive instructions from the ISO and/or the Connecting Transmission Owner for the Transmission District to which the wind generating plant will be interconnected, as applicable, to protect system reliability. The Connecting Transmission Owner for the Transmission District to which the wind generating plant will be interconnected and the wind plant Developer shall determine what SCADA information is essential for the proposed wind plant, taking into account the size of the plant and its characteristics, location, and importance in maintaining generation resource adequacy and transmission system reliability in its area.

  • Interconnection Customer Authority Consistent with Good Utility Practice, this LGIA, and the CAISO Tariff, the Interconnection Customer may take actions or inactions with regard to the Large Generating Facility or the Interconnection Customer’s Interconnection Facilities during an Emergency Condition in order to (i) preserve public health and safety, (ii) preserve the reliability of the Large Generating Facility or the Interconnection Customer’s Interconnection Facilities,

  • Network Interconnection Architecture Each Party will plan, design, construct and maintain the facilities within their respective systems as are necessary and proper for the provision of traffic covered by this Agreement. These facilities include but are not limited to, a sufficient number of trunks to the point of interconnection with the tandem company, and sufficient interoffice and interexchange facilities and trunks between its own central offices to adequately handle traffic between all central offices within the service areas at P.01 grade of service or better. The provisioning and engineering of such services and facilities will comply with generally accepted industry methods and practices, and will observe the rules and regulations of the lawfully established tariffs applicable to the services provided.

  • Workstation/Laptop encryption All workstations and laptops that process and/or store DHCS PHI or PI must be encrypted using a FIPS 140-2 certified algorithm which is 128bit or higher, such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The encryption solution must be full disk unless approved by the DHCS Information Security Office.

  • Electrical appliance safety The Hirer shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe, in good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is provided the hirer must make use of it in the interests of public safety.

  • Functionality Customer is entitled to additional functionality previously purchased or bundled with the software if available in the version or update released on or after the start date of the Agreement. Customer acknowledges that certain functionality in current and previous software versions may not be available in future upgrades. Added functionality may require additional paid services (clinical and technical) to configure and support.

  • Network Interface Device (NID) 2.7.1 The NID is defined as any means of interconnection of end-user customer premises wiring to BellSouth’s distribution plant, such as a cross-connect device used for that purpose. The NID is a single-line termination device or that portion of a multiple-line termination device required to terminate a single line or circuit at the premises. The NID features two independent xxxxxxxx or divisions that separate the service provider’s network from the end user’s customer-premises wiring. Each chamber or division contains the appropriate connection points or posts to which the service provider and the end user each make their connections. The NID provides a protective ground connection and is capable of terminating cables such as twisted pair cable.
