Discharge During the Probationary Period. The Probationary Period shall be 14 Calendar days in length from the Employee’s first day worked. During the probationary period, the Employer may discharge an Employee on the basis of unsuitability without payment of severance. If such Employee has a guaranteed period of employment beyond one work week and is discharged during the probationary period prior to completion of such guaranteed period, the Employee will be paid the lesser of one work week of severance pay or the remainder of the guaranteed period of employment.
