Common use of Discharge Procedures Clause in Contracts

Discharge Procedures. An employee who has completed the probationary period may be dismissed for just cause and upon the authority of the Employer. Such employee and the Union shall be advised promptly in writing by the Employer of such discharge or suspension.

When the Employer has completed its investigation and decided to discipline an employee, they shall have a meeting with the employee in the presence of a Union Xxxxxxx. The parties understand that the purpose for the attendance of the xxxxxxx is to advise and support the employee. Such employee and the Union shall be advised promptly in writing by the Employer of such discharge or suspension.
