Disciplinary suspension or salary reduction. The employee may be given a suspension or a reduction in salary for failing to improve according to the terms of the most recent written warning. A suspension may be for no less than one (1) working day and no more than ten (10) working days, depending on the seriousness of the violation. In consultation with Human Resources, the Division Xxxx will write a recommendation for suspension or salary reduction that includes a history of all past incidents related to the specific disciplinary issue and a history of the supervisory efforts to correct the problem. This recommendation is submitted to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for approval. If approved by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the recommendation will be reviewed by Human Resources, which will send notice of the disciplinary action to the employee. The notice will include detailed documentation of the facts related to the issues. A copy of the notice will be confidentially transmitted to the HCCC Professional Association.
