Common use of Discipline Interview Clause in Contracts

Discipline Interview. Where an employee attends an interview with management for the purpose of receiving a formal discipline report or for a security interview, the employee shall have the right to a Shop Xxxxxxx or a witness of his/her choice. If during any other private corrective interview with management it is determined that there will be a discipline report on the employee's record or the employee feels there is a violation of Section 19(i), the interview may be temporarily suspended so that the employee may call in a Shop Xxxxxxx or a witness of his/her choice. Any witness used by the employee in the above situations will be another employee working in the store at the time the interview is being held. It is understood the Shop Xxxxxxx or witness is an observer and not a participant. It is also understood that the communication or reiteration of Employer policy is not “discipline” for the purposes of this Section. A copy of all such formal notices of discipline (i.e., written warnings, suspensions and discharges) shall be given to the Union through the Shop Xxxxxxx.
