Common use of Discretionary Leave Days Clause in Contracts

Discretionary Leave Days. Ten (10) days discretionary leave per year accumulative to ninety (90) days. Discretionary leave may be used for sick, personal, and/or bereavement. At the end of each school year, any unused discretionary leave days will be transferred to employee’s sick leave total. Teachers are requested to avoid using discretionary leave the da preceding or the day following a school observed holiday or the last five days of the school year whenever possible. Discretionary leave days will be approved at the discretion of administration.
