Sick Leave Payout. No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.
Sick Leave Payout. Employees who retire on pension or who voluntarily terminate their employment with the Employer, or who are permanently laid off from their employment with the Employer, shall upon termination or retirement be paid any sick leave accumulation they may have to their credit, to a maximum of one hundred and twenty (120) hours credit.
Sick Leave Payout. The City agrees to provide a sick leave payout for Bargaining unit employees who have a sick leave balance, ten (10) or more years of continuous service, and voluntarily separate or retire from the City. Employees terminated by the public employer shall not be eligible for the sick leave payout. Said sick leave payout shall be computed as follows:
Sick Leave Payout. Upon leaving City service, or upon the death of an employee, he or his beneficiary shall be paid for his accumulated sick leave based upon the following schedule: After 5 years of service – 50% sick leave payout no minimum After 10 years of service – 55% sick leave payout no minimum After 15 years of service – 65% sick leave payout or 100% up to 825 hours whichever is greater After 25 years of service – 70% sick leave payout or 100% up to 825 hours whichever is greater Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid for his accumulated sick leave up to a maximum of eight hundred twenty-five (825) hours pay at the regular rate of pay of the employee at the time of his death or fifty percent (50%) of his total balance, whichever is greater.
Sick Leave Payout. 8.4.1 Any employee hired on or after September 30, 2012, shall not be eligible for sick leave payout. For employees hired on or before September 29, 2012, sick leave payout shall be given to each full-time employee at the time of retirement or death under one of the following conditions:

Grid A employees, including Service Clerks, who have a Sick Leave credit balance in excess of twelve (12) days (ninety-six (96) hours) as of December 31, 1983, and on each December 31 thereafter, shall receive a cash payout to a maximum of six (6) unused Sick Leave days (forty-eight (48) hours) provided no employee's Sick Leave bank shall fall below twelve (12) days (ninety-six (96) hours) as a result of a cash payout. Eligible employees shall receive a cash payout prior to January 31 of each year.

Sick Leave Payout. 8.4.1 For employees hired on or before September 29, 2012, sick leave payout shall be given to full-time benefitted employees who are members of the Federated Retirement System and who retire with at least fifteen (15) years of service. Employees are eligible to receive, upon retirement, payout for a portion of their unused earned sick leave at the rate of:
Sick Leave Payout. Teachers declaring retirement or separation from the District prior to January 15th shall be paid sixty dollars ($60) per day for each unused sick day and forty dollars ($40) per day if notification to the District is January 15th or after.
Sick Leave Payout. Employees participating in DROP subject to employer policy have one of the following options:
a. Employees may choose to have the entire balance of sick leave deposited into the St. Johns County School District Special Payment Plan at the end of the first year of DROP. Any unused sick leave accumulated after the initial remittance will be deposited into the St. Johns County School District Special Payment Plan at the end of the DROP period,
b. An employee participating in DROP will have a percentage of their accumulated sick leave pay balance deposited into the St. Johns County School District Special Payment Plan at the end of each year of DROP.
