Vacation Leave Maximum. Employees may accumulate maximum vacation leave balances not to exceed two hundred and forty (240) hours. However, there are two (2) exceptions that allow vacation leave to accumulate above the maximum:

Vacation Leave Maximum. ‌ Nurses may accumulate maximum vacation balances not to exceed the statutory limits in accordance with RCW 43.01.040 (currently two hundred forty [240] hours). However, there are two (2) exceptions that allow vacation leave to accumulate above the maximum:
Vacation Leave Maximum. A. Each employee shall be entitled to accrue vacation leave not to exceed three hundred twenty (320) hours.
Vacation Leave Maximum. Employees may accumulate maximum vacation leave balances not to exceed two hundred and forty (240) hours. However, there are two (2) exceptions that allow vacation leave to accumulate above the maximum: If an employee’s request for vacation leave is denied by the Employer, and the employee is close to the vacation leave maximum, the Employer will grant an extension for each month that the Employer must defer the employee’s request for vacation leave. An employee may also accumulate vacation leave days in excess of two hundred and forty (240) hours as long as the employee uses the excess balance prior to their anniversary date. Any leave in excess of the maximum that is not deferred in advance of its accrual as described above, will be lost on the employee’s anniversary date.
Vacation Leave Maximum. ‌ All employees may accrue a maximum of five hundred (500) vacation hours. No hours in excess of 500 will be accrued or paid to the employee. Employees who are denied vacation requests due to City staffing needs such that they reach the ceiling shall request to be cashed out up to twenty (20) hours so that they do not lose potential future accrual.

The Selecting Authority shall grant an exception to an employee’s maximum accrual if operational needs have prevented the use of vacation leave.

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:
