Common use of Domestic and Sexual Violence Leave Clause in Contracts

Domestic and Sexual Violence Leave. An employee will be granted leave as prescribed by the Employment Standards Act, Section 52.5. Employees’ service while on the above approved leave of absence will be deemed continuous with associated benefits as prescribed by the Employment Standards Act. Casual employees shall not be required to be available for shifts as outlined above. Paid leave for part-time and casual employees shall be determined by the formula in the Employment Standards Act.
