Common use of Double time and a-half Clause in Contracts

Double time and a-half. For the purposes of clause 22.1, where the rate of wages is a weekly rate, "double time and a-half" means one and one-half day's wage in addition to the employee's ordinary time rate of pay, or pro rata if there is more or less than a day.
