Common use of DURATION AND RETROACTIVITY Clause in Contracts

DURATION AND RETROACTIVITY. 22.01 This Agreement shall be effective from April 1, 2021 and shall continue in full force and effect up to and including March 31, 2023. The Agreement shall automatically continue thereafter for periods of one (1) year unless either party desires to modify or amend this Agreement, it shall give the other party notice, in writing, not earlier than ninety (90) calendar days prior to the expiry date of this Agreement. 22.02 None of the provisions of this Collective Agreement shall be retroactive, except where specifically identified, and all matters become effective from the date on which the agreement is ratified. Wages shall be retroactive to April 1, 2021 and shall be paid by separate cheque within two (2) full pay periods of the ratification of the bargaining unit. SCHEDULE A SALARY SCHEDULE‌ Employees on staff as of the signing date of this collective agreement will be placed at Level 5 of the April 1, 2020 Salary Schedule.
