Duration of Workdays and Off-Days. The workday (including holidays) begins at the starting hour of the scheduled work period and extends for twenty-four (24) hours, except on shift change. Any off-day begins at the same starting hour of the previously scheduled work period and extends for twenty-four (24) hours, except on shift change. When workdays or off-days are changed or rotated, workdays or off-days may be longer or shorter than twenty-four (24) hours and, in such cases, the workday following the change begins at the starting hour of the next scheduled shift.

  • Length of Workday The employees' workday shall be seven and one- half (7 1/2) consecutive hours, including the lunch period. The normal teaching load for assigned classes shall not exceed a daily average of 300 minutes. Those teachers who teach 360 minutes shall have a workday of no longer than eight and one-half (8 1/2) hours. If a four (4) day work week is implemented, this schedule may be compressed into that period. Said compression shall not result in the reduction of salary or benefits.

  • Termination of Work Notwithstanding any other term of this Agreement, each of the parties shall be entitled at any time to terminate the Marine Spill Response Services, or any portion thereof, being provided under this Agreement in any given case by giving notice to the other. Upon such notice being provided, Applicable Response Organization shall cease to provide the Marine Spill Response Services or any portion thereof, and shall carry out any required demobilization activities, and Owner shall pay all outstanding Applicable Response Organization Fees and Taxes.

This service helps to resolve employment relationship problems and generally to promote the smooth conduct of employment relationships. If the parties can’t reach a settlement they can ask the mediator, in writing, to make a final and binding decision. A settlement reached through mediation and signed by the mediator at the request of the parties is final, binding and enforceable. Neither party can then take the matter any further and either party can be made to comply with the agreed settlement by court order. If the problem is unresolved through mediation either party may apply to have the matter dealt with by the Employment Relations Authority.

  • Definition of Working Days Working day" as used in the Grievance and Arbitration procedure shall mean a day other than Saturday, Sunday or a recognized holiday.
