Common use of DURATION & RENEWAL Clause in Contracts

DURATION & RENEWAL. 4 year agreement September 1, 2008 – August 31, 2012: a) The term of this agreement shall have effect from the first (1st) day of September, 2008 and continue in force until the thirty-first (31st) day of August, 2012 and from year to year thereafter unless either party gives to the other party notice in writing within the 150 day period before its termination, that it desires to negotiate with a view to renewal of this agreement with or without modifications. b) The parties shall meet within 15 calendar days from the giving of the notice, or within such period as the parties agree upon, and they shall begin to bargain in good faith and make every effort to make or renew a collective agreement.
