Common use of Education Fellowships/Scholarships Clause in Contracts

Education Fellowships/Scholarships. The Committee agrees that leaves for an extended period of time for the purpose of participating as a Fellow or Scholar with either the U.S. Department of Education or the Rhode Island Department of Education shall be granted. Leaves for an extended period of time for the purpose of participating as a Fellow or Scholar with any other agency, institute, foundation, college, or university may be granted upon recommendation of the superintendent and approval by the Committee. Teachers shall be entitled to all fringe benefits while in education fellowship/scholarship leave.
