Educational Benefit. Section 34.1. Members as well as spouses and dependents shall be eligible for the educational benefits provided by the Educational Assistance and Tuition Waiver Policy3364-25-35 and the Institutional Aid Policy 3364-30-53.
Section 34.2. Should the University policies referenced above be changed, the Union will be notified at least 30 days in advance of the effective date of said changes and the University will meet to discuss the changes if so requested, provided further that modifications offering greater benefits shall be available to the members pursuant to said policies.
Educational Benefit. Effective July 1, 2010, Unit Members shall be granted a one-time education incentive, payable quarterly, based on the attainment of the degrees as set forth: Associates Degree $250.00, Bachelors Degree $500.00, Masters Degree $1000.00. The attainment of a higher degree eliminates any further compensation for the holding of the lower degree.
Educational Benefit. Each employee shall be entitled to two (2) classes per school year, not to exceed a total of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per year. Reimbursement will be made upon successful completion of each class. The District will allocate Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) per school year. This amount will be reviewed by the Living Agreement Team prior to December 1st of each year. Classes need to be related to jobs that are within the Bangor Township School District and be pre- approved by the Association President and the Superintendent.
Educational Benefit. Each employee shall be entitled to two classes per year, not to exceed a total of $300.00 per year. Classes need to be related to jobs that are within the Bangor Township School District.
Educational Benefit. In consideration for the Base Rent being discounted from the fair market rental value of the property, Lessee will provide, throughout the Lease term, the following in- kind benefits:
1. Lessee shall provide free lift tickets and 50% discounts on gear rental at Eaglecrest for UAS students and entering into internships for UAS students pursuing outdoor recreation degrees.
2. Lessee shall provide CBJ bus passes to UAS students at no cost.
3. Lessee shall provide access at no cost to Treadwell Rink, CBJ Pools and Xxxxxx Park Fieldhouse for UAS students.
4. Lessee shall provide kayak storage and launch services at Statter Harbor at no cost for UAS students.
5. Lessee shall provide or arrange no fewer than three (3) paid maritime internships to UAS students each semester, including but not limited to harbor operations, harbor marketing, or harbor administration.
6. Xxxxxx engaged relationships with the UAS/CG/ CSPI program.
7. Lessee shall provide snow removal at no cost to UAS at the 5.34-acre UAS Tech Center facility, both those portions leased hereunder to Lessee and those portions remaining under UAS occupancy, including but not limited to the UAS Welding Lab and UAS Vo-Tech Building. Section 5 is deleted. Section 11 is replaced in its entirety with:
Educational Benefit. 29.01 Employees obtaining a college accredited associate degree in law enforcement with a G.P.A. of 2.5 or better, shall be paid, as additional compensation, the sum of six hundred fifty dollars ($650.00) per year. Such payment shall be made in December.
29.02 Employees obtaining a college accredited bachelor’s degree in law enforcement with a G.P.A. of 2.5 or better, shall be paid the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per year. Such payment shall be made in December.
Educational Benefit. Members shall be eligible for the reimbursement of tuition plus reasonable costs for books and fees resulting from the member taking courses from an accredited institution of higher learning providing that:
Educational Benefit. If benefits are payable under this benefit provision for an injury that requires you to change occupations, Great-West Life will pay the tuition fees for enrolling you as a student at a post-secondary institution for training in a new occupation. To qualify for an educational benefit, you must enrol at a post-secondary institution within 365 days after the accident. Great-West Life will pay up to . No benefits will be paid for tuition expenses incurred before the accident, expenses incurred more than 2 years after the accident causing the injury, or room or board or other ordinary living, travelling, or clothing expenses.
Educational Benefit. An officer who is enrolled in University classes may be given permission to change his/her duty tour with another officer provided that no overtime or meal allowance accrues to either officer as a result of the change. *For information only
Educational Benefit. 37.01. Members shall be eligible for the reimbursement of tuition plus reasonable costs for books and fees resulting from the member taking courses from an accredited institution of higher learning provided that:
A. The courses are based on obtaining a degree approved by the Chief and directly related to bona fide police work;
B. The course(s) has been approved in advance by the Chief with the approval of the Mayor;
C. The employee obtains a grade of "C" or better;
D. The grade received and receipt for the tuition are submitted to the Finance Director; and
E. The amount of tuition to be paid by the City shall be limited to the amount then charged by Cleveland State University with a per-quarter or semester maximum of eight (8) credit hours.
37.02. If an employee receives tuition reimbursement from the City for the first time on or after March 1, 2015, and thereafter separates from employment with the City within three (3) years following the date of the last reimbursement, the employee will be obligated to repay the City for all amounts paid pursuant to this Article. Upon notice of separation, the employee and a representative of the City shall meet to work out a mutually agreeable repayment plan. Repayment plans may be developed to cover a period of repayment of up to five (5) years, may include periodic lump sum payments and/or monthly repayment amounts. If a mutually agreeable repayment plan is not attained, the City will develop a plan which may include periodic lump sum payments and/or monthly repayment amounts; in such case, any monthly repayment amounts shall not exceed five hundred twenty- five dollars ($525.00).
