Educational. A. A leave of absence for a period not to exceed one (1) year without loss of seniority will be granted to an employee who has one (1) year or more of seniority in order that the employee may attend a recognized college, university, trade, or technical school full time, provided that the course of instruction is related to the employee's employment opportunities with the Company. A request for a leave of absence to attend primary or high school will be regarded as being within the intent of this paragraph and the schooling will be regarded as being related to the employee's employment opportunities with the Company. Before receiving the leave, or an extension thereof, the employee shall submit to the Company satisfactory evidence that the college, university, or school has accepted them as a student and, on the expiration of each semester or other school term, shall submit proof of attendance during such term. Such leaves may be extended for additional periods not to exceed one (1) year each.
