Common use of Effective on Health Insurance Clause in Contracts

Effective on Health Insurance. The City will pay its share of the premiums for health care coverage it provides during the family or medical leave. It is the employee’s responsibility to pay the employee’s share of the premium. Arrangements for payment of the employee’s portion of premiums must be made by the employee through the City prior to taking the leave. If the employee chooses to not return to work after the leave for reasons within the employee’s control, the City may seek to recover any insurance premiums paid on the employee’s behalf.
