Common use of Effective Tenure Date Clause in Contracts

Effective Tenure Date. A XXX who receives the necessary ratings to attain tenure after two, three or four school terms of full-time service as provided in this subsection shall be appointed as a tenured teacher and be entitled to the rights afforded to tenured teachers effective the first day of the school term following the school term in which he or she received the final rating necessary to attain tenure. The attainment of tenure as provided in this paragraph shall not be a guarantee of employment for the school term following the school term in which he or she received the final rating necessary to attain tenure.
