Eligibility for Early Retirement Benefits. The Employee shall be treated as an “early retiree” and shall be eligible for all benefits under the Company’s Early Retiree Benefit Plan for Officers without regard to age or time in service requirements.

Eligibility for Early Retirement Benefits. (A) An Active Participant who has completely retired from covered service employment with all Employers within the jurisdiction of this Fund shall be eligible for an Early Retirement Benefit provided: (1) He/she is at least age 55 and under age 65; and (2) The Participant who has attained credit for vesting through Hours of Service as a Collectively Bargained Employee shall have at least 10 Years of Service. (B) Effective January 1, 1998, the Participant as a Collectively Bargained Employee has earned at least 5 Years of Service of which at least 1 Hour of Service has been earned on or after January 1, 1998. (C) Effective January 1, 1989, the Participant who has attained credit for vesting through Hours of Service as a Non-Collectively Bargained Employee shall have at least 5 Years of Service, and (1) the Participant has elected and applied for an Early Retirement Benefit on a form prescribed by the Trustees and the Trustees shall have approved the application.

  • Early Retirement Benefits If elected in the Adoption Agreement, an Early Retirement benefit may be available to individuals who meet the age and Service requirements that are specified in the Adoption Agreement. A Participant who attains his or her Early Retirement Date will become fully vested, regardless of any vesting schedule which otherwise might apply. If a Participant separates from Service with a nonforfeitable benefit before satisfying the age requirements, but after having satisfied the Service requirement, the Participant will be entitled to elect an Early Retirement benefit upon satisfaction of the age requirement.

Approval by the Sick Leave Bank Review Committee is required prior to the receiving of benefits. 7. Normal pregnancies, childbirth, childcare, or child adoption shall not be considered as eligible reasons for Sick Leave Bank benefits. 8. A four (4)-member Sick Leave Bank Review Committee, consisting of two (2) members appointed by the President of the Association and two (2) appointed by the Superintendent, shall have the responsibility of receiving requests, verifying the validity of requests and approval or denial of requests. Any approval of a request must have the support of at least three (3) members of the committee Sick Leave Bank Review Committee. The Sick Leave Bank Review Committee shall develop its rules of procedure and shall give wide distribution to said rules upon approval of the President of the Association and the Superintendent.

  • Maintaining Eligibility for Employer Contribution The employer's contribution continues as long as the employee remains on the payroll in an insurance eligible position. Employees who complete their regular school year assignment shall receive coverage through August 31.
