Common use of Eligibility for Sabbatical Leave Clause in Contracts

Eligibility for Sabbatical Leave. The City will provide a paid sabbatical leave of absence for unit employees under the following conditions:  Unit employees must have ten (10) or more years of service with Xxxxxx City.  Sabbatical Leave may be granted only once within a five (5) year period, beginning with year eleven (11), and as of the fifth anniversary thereafter (year 16, year 21, etc.).  Sabbatical Leave time: o Does not accrue, o Is not eligible for conversion to cash value, and o If not taken within an eligible five (5) year period is no longer available.
