Eligibility for Use of Vacation. 9.17.2.1 A regular classified employee must have served the District six (6) calendar months and be in paid status seventy-five percent (75%) of the working days in each calendar month to be eligible for paid vacation leave. 9.17.2.2 Regular classified employees who are in paid status less than seventy- five percent (75%) of the working days in the month will earn vacation in proportion to the time served. 9.17.2.3 No vacation shall be used prior to the time it is earned. 9.17.2.4 Earned vacation shall not become a vested right until completion of the initial six (6) months of employment. [Education Code 88197(e)]. Employees terminating with less than six (6) months' service shall not receive payment of vacation accruals.
