Emergency Ambulance. We will indemnify the Reasonable and Customary Charges for ambulance expenses incurred to transfer the Insured Person by surface transport following an Emergency provided that: a. The medical condition of the Insured Person requires immediate ambulance services from the place where the Insured Person is injured or is ill to a Hospital where appropriate medical treatment can be obtained or from the existing Hospital to another Hospital with advanced facilities as advised by the treating Medical Practitioner for management of the current Hospitalization. b. This benefit is available for one transfer per Hospitalization. c. The ambulance service is offered by a healthcare or ambulance Service Provider. d. We have accepted a claim under Section 2.1 (Inpatient Care) above.
