Common use of Emergency Communications Center Clause in Contracts

Emergency Communications Center. It is the intent of the Emergency Communications Center to provide breaks to dispatchers per Article 10.1 Rest Period above. Employees working twelve (12) hour shifts shall be granted a rest period, of no less than ten (10) minutes, during each four (4) hours of work. Dispatchers or Supervisors who request and are denied in writing the ability to take at least one (1) break in an eight (8) hour shift or two (2) breaks in a twelve (12) hour shift shall be eligible to receive Break Pay Compensation as outlined below:  Communications Dispatcher I $19.50 per shift  Communications Dispatcher II $22.50 per shift  Shift Supervisor $25.00 per shift  Operations Supervisor $27.00 per shift Furthermore, employees scheduled and required to be at their workstations for eight (8) or more consecutive work hours shall have their meal during work hours.
