Emergency Work Assignment. The parties to this Agreement recognize that if the College has been unsuccessful in obtaining Appendix D employees, College operations may require the assignment of work that necessitates full-time bargaining unit employees to perform work at another campus, which is not the employee's regularly assigned workplace due to emergency circumstances beyond the College's reasonable control. When the College has given notice of such an emergency work assignment, the College shall take into consideration the legitimate requests of employees to be excused where the performance of such an assignment would cause undue hardship or serious inconvenience. If the emergency work assignment is in excess of forty (40) kilometres from the employee's regularly assigned work location, the employee shall have the right to refuse such assignment.

When the College has given notice of such an emergency work assignment, the College shall take into consideration the legitimate requests of employees to be excused where the performance of such an assignment would cause undue hardship or serious inconvenience. If the emergency work assignment is in excess of forty (40) kilometres from the employee's regularly assigned work location, the employee shall have the right to refuse such assignment. Transfers When a College determines that an employee is to be permanently transferred between campuses, it will give the employee at least three (3) weeks notice of the transfer. This Article will not apply where transfers are made pursuant to the layoff procedures. In such circumstances, the applicable layoff process will apply. An employee will only be transferred to a work location more than eighty (80) kilometres distant from the employee's previous work location if the employee agrees.
Emergency Work Assignment. The contractor shall be allowed to employ, without regard to craft jurisdiction or union affiliation, any of his employees competent to fill vacancies caused by injury, sickness, or other unavoidable absence of employees beyond the control of the contractor in order to carry the day's work to completion.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.

  • Room Assignment The Landlord will assign rooms in accordance with the current assignment practice set by Residence Services. The Landlord reserves the right to transfer or move Tenants when deemed necessary.
