Emergency Work Assignment. The parties to this Agreement recognize that if the College has been unsuccessful in obtaining Appendix D employees, College operations may require the assignment of work that necessitates full-time bargaining unit employees to perform work at another campus, which is not the employee's regularly assigned workplace due to emergency circumstances beyond the College's reasonable control. When the College has given notice of such an emergency work assignment, the College shall take into consideration the legitimate requests of employees to be excused where the performance of such an assignment would cause undue hardship or serious inconvenience. If the emergency work assignment is in excess of forty (40) kilometres from the employee's regularly assigned work location, the employee shall have the right to refuse such assignment.
