Common use of Employee Health and Safety Committee Clause in Contracts

Employee Health and Safety Committee. The Hospital will maintain a safe and healthful work place in compliance with Federal, State and local laws applicable to the safety and health of its employees. The Hospital will continue its Employee Safety Committee in accordance with regulatory requirements. The purpose of this Committee shall be to investigate safety and health issues and to advise the Hospital of education and preventative health measures for the work place and its employees. The Union may appoint one (1) member to the Committee. Employees are encouraged to report any unsafe conditions to their supervisors and to the Safety Committee and/or the Hospital’s Risk Manager by utilizing a Quality Assurance Memo.
