Common use of Employee Sick-Leave Usage Clause in Contracts

Employee Sick-Leave Usage. Sick leave with pay up to a total number of hours accumulated shall be granted by the department head in cases of bona fide illness or bona fide injury of employee. After four (4) consecutive days of illness, the County may require a physician’s certificate or other evidence either as a condition of continuing an employee on sick-leave status or as a requirement of returning to work. Union recognizes the County’s right to determine by reasonable means the validity of any sick-leave usage by an employee at any time.
