Leave Usage. Full shift absences on vacation, sick leave, compensating time off, or holiday in lieu taken by employees on scheduled ten-hour workshifts shall result in the deduction of ten (10) hours from employees’ accrued leave balances.
Leave Usage. When leave is granted, it shall be considered to be granted on an hourly basis with the hours debited for each complete day of leave being the same as the hours the employee would normally have been scheduled to work on that day.
Leave Usage. For both the 9/80 and 4/9/4 work schedules, full day absences on vacation, sick leave, CTO or HIL taken by a supervisor on a scheduled nine-hour day shall result in the deduction of nine (9) hours accrued leave balance. A full day of leave taken on a scheduled eight-hour or a scheduled four-hour day shall result in the deduction of either eight (8) hours or four (4) hours leave respectively.
Leave Usage. Absences shall be covered with appropriate leave credits in an amount equal to the employee’s scheduled work hours for that day.
Leave Usage. 2359 For the purpose of leave usage and calculation of terminal pay, a workday consists of eight (8) hours. 2360 When a daily schedule is provided with the faculty leave form, faculty will be charged actual time used 2361 for the first week. After seven days, the faculty member will be charged leave time based on a 35 hour 2362 work week.
Leave Usage. The use of the leave is for active participation in school sponsored 32 secular activities by employees, and not for mere attendance at the activity or event.
Leave Usage. When leave is granted, it shall be considered to be granted on an hourly basis with the hours debited for each complete day of leave being the same as the hours the employee would normally have been scheduled to work on that day. This Memorandum of Agreement shall form part of the Collective Agreement between the House of Commons of Canada and the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada. This Memorandum of Agreement was originally signed at Ottawa, the 12th day of the month of July 1989. APPENDIX C MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT DEFERRED SALARY LEAVE PLAN This Memorandum of Agreement will confirm an understanding reached between the parties in respect of a deferred salary leave plan for members of the Procedural Clerks and Analysis and Reference bargaining unit.
Leave Usage. 11.8.10 Donated leave shall be credited each pay period as time is taken and is subject to the recipient's normal payroll deductions. Hours shall be paid at the recipient's rate of pay.
11.8.11 For purposes of PERS service credit and length of service, catastrophic leave will be considered time worked.
11.8.12 The maximum amount of time for which donated leave may be used is sixty-six (66) working days, within each individual’s three-year cycle. The sixty-six (66) working days will be applied in equivalent hours not to exceed three hundred and ninety-six (396) hours for contract/regular faculty and five hundred and twenty-eight (528) for classified professionals and administrative/confidential employees. Leave usage will be consistent with Article 11.3.3. Every eligible participant is limited to a 66-day benefit regardless of donations made in excess of the minimum requirement. Any use of leave by less-than-full-time employees shall be prorated based on the employee’s regular position FTE. There is no minimum amount of time.
11.8.13 The employee continues to accrue leave (personal illness and injury leave, vacation) during this Catastrophic Leave. Employees must exhaust all forms of paid leave to which they are entitled before using catastrophic leave. Therefore, when regular paid leave is accrued, catastrophic leave will cease until that leave is exhausted. The District will continue to pay the employee's district health and welfare benefits at the same level the employee was receiving prior to going on leave.
11.8.14 The Catastrophic Leave Program is a bona-fide leave sharing arrangement for a medical emergency as defined in IRS Ruling 90-29. Pursuant to IRS Ruling 90-29, personal illness and injury leave and vacation time transferred under such arrangements shall not be considered wages for the employee who surrenders the leave and will therefore not be included in gross income or subject to withholding. The gross value of the donated leave shall be reported as income, and be taxable, to the recipient.
11.8.15 All recipients and donors will remain anonymous, except for those District officers and employees who have a business need to know.
Leave Usage. Paid leaves may be used by employees in hourly increments. A seven and one-half hour work day shall be used for the purposes of calculating leave time and hourly rates for Certified and Licensed staff except where otherwise indicated.
Leave Usage. Employees will accrue sick and annual leave in one hour increments and may use sick and annual leave in fifteen (15)-minute increments. The FWS Program does not affect an employee's right to request annual or sick leave. However, it is the employee's responsibility to ensure that all use-or-lose annual leave is taken by the end of the year. At the end of the leave year, if an employee is in a situation where he/she must use annual leave or lose it, the employee must first use annual leave before using any credit hours.
